About Human Resources

For the Human Resources Department (HR), there is no typical day. Every day is different and every day means a new challenge. HR work in a wide range of areas, one day working with management to decide on the people we need to deliver the business strategy, the next running an employee focus group and understanding the issues that motivate individuals and teams.

HR’s main purpose is to provide the organisation with structure and the ability to meet business needs through managing its most valuable resource – its employees.

HR’s main areas of focus are:

  • Resourcing & retention.
  • Performance management.
  • Engagement, values & culture.
  • Reward & recognition.
  • Learning & development along with management development.
  • Policies & process.
  • Communication.
  • Employee relations.
  • Health & safety.
